Fasting is prescribed to all believers of Islam as it was prescribed to nations of the past. Fasting is immensely important and full of blessings, but what exactly is involved?
The process of fasting begins with Sehri, consuming food, and the setting of intention before the Fajr prayers. A Muslim then spends his day in the worship of his Lord for the sake of whom he fasts. Then as the sun sets, he finally opens his fast, called the Iftar. This time of relief from the day’s hunger holds immense blessing and is a time for the special acceptance of prayers.
Break your fast with us as we indulge in discussions concerning spirituality, religion, and how to derive benefit from The Holy Month of Ramadan.
